As in the last guidelines , Wipro has given the date till 31 May and Now on 4th May, keeping in mind the current situation during the pandemic, Wipro has extended the Work from Home till 31’st July. And they have guided all the employees regarding the precautions that must be taken to be safe during the ongoing pandemic.

The new date that Wipro has provided is 31’st July 2021. Till this date, the Wipro has extended Work from Home considering the current situation. The date may be extended if the conditions are not back to normal.

Work from home extended for all employees??
The Work from home is not extended for all the employees. The work from home is only extended for those employees, which are having approval for WFH or the employees which are in freepool/non-billable roles. Wipro has mentioned precautions to be followed while staying at home for the safety also.
How Wipro is supporting COVID affected employees?
For the employees which are affected from the COVID, Wipro has introduced the PAID leaves system. Any employee which is tested positive for the virus , can take a medical leave of upto 14 days till the proper recovery. This seems to be a great initiative by Wipro for its employees.

Chances of Work from Office again?
As currently , work from home is in action, everyone is working from home and there are notice for extension of Work from Home till September , there are not much chances that employees will be called to office before the start of the next year.
As we have the rumors for the Third Wave of CoviD also, there are very less chances of the IT industries calling its employees back to office. As it is now very risky to get everyone back in the office from the different locations of the nation . Therefore, some more time is needed to get back to the tracks again.
